It has pretty well disappeared inside it's magic chamber. In the bottom picture, the tiny dark speck is it's head spitting out the silk. The cocoon is gold, but very, very pale. I'm amazed!

Fascinating! Thank you for the blow-by-blow, or would that be silk spittle by silk spittle, pictures. How long does it take to spin a cocoon from start to finish? Hours? Days?
